Test & Inspection Engineer

Our client is looking for a Test & Inspection Engineer for a permanent position, located in Aberdeen.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Accountabilities:

• Conduct statutory thorough examinations of lifting machines, lifting accessories and other equipment in accordance with works instructions
• Prepare, conduct, and dissemble equipment required for proof load tests
• Complete paperwork and LOLER reports
• Interface with customers regularly
• Interpret technical drawings
• Calculate sling assembly lengths and working load limits
• Advise customers of expected delivery dates, and provide updates
• Maintain a current knowledge of product knowledge, capabilities and developments
• Provide technical assistant to customers
• Any other relevant duties as directed by line management

QHSE Responsibilities:

• Follow HSE, Quality Policy and relevant procedures
• Prevent unsafe acts and utilise Safety Observation System
• Attend mandatory QHSE training
• Conduct pre-use checks of equipment
• Adhere to the PPE policy
• Report all accidents and incidents
• Contribute to the QHSE culture
• Top rates will be paid for the right candidate

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in the industry and have preferably LEEA qualifications, along with a knowledge of ROV systems and Cranes.
• Willing / able to travel (with current driving licence) to worksite locations and offshore or overseas as required, along with being able to undertake the undernoted.
