Yard Labourer / Forklift Driver

Our client is currently recruiting for a Yard Labourer / Forklift Driver. Based in Aberdeen, the role is on a permanent, full-time basis

ROLE

The main purpose of the role will be to unload, segregate, and store incoming waste.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Competently operate a 3.5T counterbalance Forklift Truck
• Loading and unloading of Waste.
• Manual Bulking and sorting of waste
• Housekeeping activities including sweeping and collecting litter
• To liaise with Site Chemist ensuring that Hazardous Waste is correctly identified labelled and segregated correctly.
• Packaging, and preparation of Waste Load.
• Ensure vehicles, plant and equipment are properly maintained/serviced with all required checks carried out.
• Liaise with Chemist to ensure accurate completion of all paperwork ie Incoming Verification Forms

REQUIREMENTS:

• Full driving licence
• Forklift experience
• Dangerous Good Transport Experience (not essential as training would be provided)
• Chemical Awareness Training
• Ability to work in a health and safety driven environment

Hours of work Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm (40 hour week)
