Laboratory Technician

Our client is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join an independent, organic, analytical laboratory on a permanent Part-Time basis. The Role will be based South of Aberdeen.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Carry out routine and non-routine chemical analysis of water, effluents, soil, industrially produced samples and related materials
• Ensure the application of quality control procedures during analysis.
• Ensure that ISO requirements are complied with, and to maintain safety standards and safe working practices within the laboratory.

REQUIREMENTS:

• HNC or equivalent in Chemistry (preferably to degree level).
• Relevant previous experience in similar role would be advantageous but not essential.
• Friendly, helpful, positive approach to working in a methodical, conscientious and trustworthy manner.
• Ability to work flexibly and without supervision.
• IT literate to include good level of skills in MS Office software and database use.
• Access to own transport is essential.
