Senior Structural Designer

Our client, a leading engineering and advisory consultancy in Aberdeen who has a diverse and varied portfolio across oil and gas, offshore renewables and hydrogen / carbon capture sectors, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Designer. (Hybrid Working)

The role is outside IR35 and we invite Limited Companies to engage.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with leading company designers using technical expertise and experience in managing draughting projects.
• Prepare and deliver a range of engineering drawings and associated documents, compliant with all applicable standards in conjunction with the engineering team.
• Innovate in design work, minimising cost whilst maintaining technical integrity
• Participation in internal and external design reviews.

REQUIREMENTS:

• HND in Mechanical/Structural Engineering or academic equivalent.
• Proficient in the use of Autodesk suite (e.g. AutoCAD, Inventor) with recent project experience. Beneficial to have experience with Aveva suite (e.g. PDMS or E3D).
• Sound practical experience of offshore structural steel design and a detailed understanding of site construction.
• Proficient in producing and checking design drawing suitable for fabrication.
