Senior Process Engineer

Our client, a leading independent Oil & Gas Operator, is currently seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join their team in Aberdeen on an initial 12-month contract. Agency Worker / PAYE

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience of providing process engineering support to front-line operation of a major offshore production facility.
• Proven experience providing process engineering support to upstream and midstream processing facilities, with direct involvement in the front-line operation of major offshore production facilities and/or onshore gas processing plants.
• Deep and thorough understanding of relevant codes, standards, and applicable regulations—both statutory and company-specific—including those in the UK, and EU
• Significant and extensive knowledge of Process and Major Accident Hazard (MAH) prevention technical practices and legislation (for offshore and onshore), which would be underpinned by technical achievements in process engineering discipline in the energy or chemical industry
• Knowledge of all forms of engineering documentation, including block diagrams,
• PFDs, P&IDs Data Sheets, Cause & Effect charts, and safety critical elements
• Deep and extensive knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and applicable regulations both statutory and company specific
• Experience of successfully closing out actions generated in HAZOP, LOPA, PHR sessions
• Experience of providing process engineering support to upstream and mid-stream processing facilities.
• Engineering Documentation Proficiency:
• Strong familiarity with a wide range of engineering documentation, including:
  • Block Flow Diagrams (BFDs)
  • Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
  • Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
  • Cause & Effect charts
  • Safety Critical Elements (SCEs)
• Communication & Influencing Skills: Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to clearly convey complex technical information, share knowledge, and embed change. Skilled at building rapport and constructively influencing decision-makers, particularly on complex or high-stakes issues.
