We have a new requirement for Project Manager for an international O&G Operator with investment in high quality oil and gas projects in Aberdeen.   This is a long-term contract position, available on either a Limited Company or PAYE basis. Prior involvement in Central North Sea developments is highly desirable.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Planning, execution, and management of the development work through Define phase and management coordination of all required functional/discipline input.
  • Overseeing delivery of the Topsides Host and Subsea Facilities
  • overseeing Facilities technical, cost and planning definition of the project (through to first gas).
  • Guidance and project support to Topsides Project Lead and Subsea Lead and ensuring good communications to manage interfaces.
  • Management of the Project Decision Papers and Register for Facilities with PE support Focal point for cost and schedule risk analysis for project
  • Responsible for all Corporate PPMS stage gate requirements/documentation. Responsible for updates to FDP and DSP and associated documentation required at Decision Gates.

REQUIREMENTS:

Project Management expertise:

  • Strong track record in managing complex upstream oil and gas projects through early phases (Appraise/Define/Select).
  • Project stage-gate processes.

Technical Knowledge (Upstream Facilities)

  • Comprehensive understanding of topsides host and subsea facilities design, development, and delivery.
  • Well-rounded understanding of the technical and practical inputs from engineering, construction, commissioning, and operations, ensuring integrated and efficient project delivery."

Regulatory and HSES Compliance

  • UK environmental and safety regulatory frameworks.
  • regulatory submissions Leadership & Coordination
  • leading multidisciplinary and cross-functional project teams.
  • Effective interface management with internal stakeholders and external regulators/partners.

Documentation & Governance

  • Strong skills in project documentation, decision papers, registers, and gate review preparation.
  • corporate project systems and document control. Financial & Risk Management
  • Budget ownership experience and cost control skills.
