Blast/Paint Lead - Onshore

Cammach are recruiting for a Blast/Paint Lead for an oil & gas services client in Aberdeen. This is an onshore permanent staffing position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Expertise

• Demonstrable experience and proven track record in industrial painting and blasting operations, including preparation, application, and finishing.
• Sound knowledge of paint systems, coatings, blasting techniques, and industry standards.
• Keen interest in or proven record of working with paint/blast robotics and willingness to adopt new technologies to improve efficiency and quality.

Problem Solving & Decision Making

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, implement solutions, and make effective decisions under pressure.
• Ability to work independently while escalating critical issues appropriately.

Health, Safety & Quality Focus

• Comprehensive understanding of health & safety regulations in blasting/painting environments.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with all company and industry standards.
• Keen eye for detail to ensure consistent quality of work.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills

• Clear and confident communicator, able to give direction and feedback effectively.

Leadership & Team Management

• Proven ability to drive, motivate, and lead a team to deliver high-quality blasting and painting operations.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to allocate tasks, monitor progress, and maintain performance standards.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and support team development.

REQUIREMENTS

• Formal qualifications or certifications in blasting, painting, or coatings (e.g., ICorr, NACE, or equivalent).
• Experience in training, mentoring, or developing team members.
• Familiarity with lean processes, continuous improvement, or efficiency-focused working methods.
