Mechanical Engineer

Our client is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer. Based in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire the role will be on a permanent (staff) basis.

ROLE

Responsible for undertaking jobs and work instruction from Workshop Supervisor and of the Company’s operational activities. The principal duties of this position are, but not limited to, the below:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• General workshop duties.
• Work on diesel driven equipment / packages.
• Fault finding and creating reports.
• Work on own or as part of a team.
• Repairs, refurbishments, upgrades and maintenance on top side equipment.
• Follow company job cards and detailed work scopes.
• Keep workshop timesheet up to date on all jobs on their own tablet device.
• To follow organisational integrated management system policies and procedures in compliance to ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and other legal requirements.
• Participate in HSEQ training or other identified training and personal development.
• Assist with any customer and/or third-party tasks.
• Represent the Company in a professional manner both on and off the job.
• Perform any other duties as directed by the Management Team.
• Assist with Forklift when required. (Training given if required)

REQUIREMENTS

• A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word.
• Time served Mechanic with certificates of training to back this up.
• Semi-skilled Mechanic (depending on the needs and requirements of the business) with certificates of training to back this up.
