Laboratory Technician

Our client, an international oil & gas operator is currently recruiting for a Laboratory Technician. Based in Aberdeen the role will be on a temporary basis for a duration of 9-12 months.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Planning and setting up laboratory testing for senior staff.
• Performing basic lab testing and providing results to Lab Team Lead.
• Mixing muds, brines, and acids/alkalis solutions.
• Control of fluids, chemicals, consumables in the lab and ensure paperwork (MSDS, COSHH) are in order.
• Ensuring appropriate QHSE paperwork is kept up to date including daily maintenance, calibrations, and stock checks.
• Perform elastomer QC testing for production facilities.
