Lead Planner

Our client is looking for a Lead Planner for an immediate start to join their growing team and support project delivery. Location initially Aberdeen then move on to the client site in Scotland.

ROLE

The Planner / Scheduler will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules to ensure effective planning and delivery. This role is critical in supporting ongoing projects and client stakeholders to ensure that resources, materials, and activities are aligned to meet project milestones on time and within budget.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, update, and maintain project schedules using industry-standard planning software - Primavera P6
• Support project managers in preparing baseline schedules and tracking progress against them.
• Identify and highlight schedule risks, delays, and opportunities, providing mitigation recommendations.
• Coordinate with the project team to ensure activities are logically linked and achievable.
• Prepare regular progress reports, schedule updates, and forecasts for internal and client meetings.
• Maintain resource-loaded schedules to support workforce and equipment planning.
• Support VO submissions with planning input and resource forecasting.
• Interface with clients, and subcontractors to integrate schedules and provide accurate progress updates.
• Ensure schedules align with project contractual requirements and reporting obligations.

REQUIREMENTS

Essential:

• Previous experience in a planning/scheduling role within the energy, offshore wind, oil & gas, or construction sector.
• Proficiency in project planning software (Primavera P6)
• Strong understanding of project lifecycles, workflows, and operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• High level of organisation and attention to detail.

Desirable:

• Experience with EPCI projects.
• Knowledge of Offshore Wind and O&G Projects
• Familiarity with risk management and cost control processes.
