Senior Project Engineer - Decommissioning

New requirement to join an international Oil & Gas Operator in Aberdeen. Our client looking to recruit an experienced Senior Project Engineer – Decommissioning on Staff basis.

• Previous decommissioning experience is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The Senior Project Engineer will focus on delivering decommissioning projects, acting as project leader under the guidance of the Decommissioning Project Lead.
• Responsible for the successful delivery of assigned elements of decommissioning projects, working closely with technical leads, contractors, verifiers, all company functions, and the decommissioning department to ensure campaigns and activities are executed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• The role includes accountability for the successful delivery of assigned decommissioning projects and joint accountability for the overall success of all International Division decommissioning projects and activities.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Technical/Engineering degree
• Project Management qualification or working towards accreditation with a recognised body i.e. APM or PMI. Preferable
• Demonstrated ability to lead successful cross functional projects.
• Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with conflict, disagreement and indecision.
• Competency in contract management.
• Competency in risk assessment and mitigation at project level.
• Ability to keep the larger project picture in mind, including recognising where interfaces may be needed.
• Be able to prioritise multiple work fronts, both for themselves but also provide guidance to less experienced team members.
• Ensures decisions are made.
• Knowledge of the offshore working environment and/or site based working.
• Offshore travel, offshore campaign support and travel as required by project activities.
