Logistics Administrator
Our client is currently recruiting for a Logistics Administrator. Based in Groby, Leicester the role is on a 6 month contract basis.
ROLE
The purpose of the Logistics Team is to manage the global shipments in line with the targets of the Groby business. The ideal candidate will have admin/office experience, a responsible attitude towards the job, be able to work on their own initiative and will be resourceful in overcoming difficulties. They will also need to be a team player who is reliable and competent. A high level of accuracy will be required, together with the ability to work quickly under pressure. A knowledge of SAP is desirable but not essential but must be able to use Microsoft Office particularly Word & Excel
RESPONSIBILITIES
To include, but not limited to:
- Import clearance administration – providing clearance instructions to carriers, checking customs entries and maintaining accurate records.
- Providing admin support to the Shipping Team - managing the shipping mailbox, checking shipment tracking and obtaining POD's.
- Assisting with the shipment of manual items, subcontractor parts and supplier rejects/returns to UK customers.
- Flexibility and able to work additional hours (including some weekends) at peak times.
