Workshop Labourer

Our client is currently recruiting for a Workshop Labourer. The role is located in Aberdeen and will be on a contract basis.

Hours of work 39 hours a week (OT: time and a half)

8:00am - 4:30 pm (Mon - Thu) and 8:00am - 3:30pm (Friday)

ROLE

To manufacture, inspect and conduct thorough examinations of lifting accessories including proof load tests.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manufacture lifting accessories in accordance with works instructions.
• Inspect lifting accessories in accordance with works instructions.
• Conduct statutory thorough examinations lifting accessories in accordance with works instructions.
• Accurate completion of paperwork/stock sheets.
• Operate equipment as per training and works instructions.
• Maintain a suitable level of housekeeping.
• Out of hours work may be required to cover the needs of the business.
• Any other relevant duties as directed by line management.

QHSE Responsibilities

• All employees have a duty of care to comply with health and safety legislation.
• Attend mandatory QHSE training.
• Conduct pre-use checks of equipment.
• Follow HSE, Quality Policy and relevant procedures.
• Prevent unsafe acts and promote Safety Observation System.
• Support the implementation of HSE initiatives.
• Intervene & manage unsafe acts.
• Support the overall QHSE culture.
• Report all accidents & incidents immediately.
• Adhere to and enforce the PPE Policy.

REQUIREMENTS

• The person holding this position will be required to always show excellent communication skills with all personnel and outside contractors/clients.
