Technical Superintendent

Our client is currently recruiting for a Technical Superintendent. Located in Aberdeen, the role is offered on a permanent (staff) basis.

Please Note: This role is open to UK residents who hold full UK right to work status as our client is unable to offer sponsorship. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the technical condition, compliance and OPEX budgets for nominated vessels.
• Responsible for the assigned vessel’s statutory and class certificates ensuring they are not overdue.
• Conduct dry dockings, projects and other technical activities for nominated vessels.
• Support COO in creating and submitting Hull & Machinery claims.
• Follow up the planned maintenance system compliance for nominated vessels – ensuring no jobs are overdue, critical spare part stock is maintained
• Follow-up onboard stock keeping for nominated vessels.
• Participate in the Emergency Organization as described in the SMS.
• Adhere to and provide feedback on the company’s policies, objectives, plans and procedures.
• Adhere to requirements, both internal and external, of which the company’s performance is of relevance.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3-5 years of study at college / university
• Minimum 10 years of total working experience
• Fluent in English, both Orally and written
• Relevant experience from shipping, oil & gas or HSEQ department is preferable
• Background as engineer or ETO is preferable
