Senior Well Abandonment Engineers

Cammach is working with an International Oil & Gas Operator based in Aberdeen to recruit two Senior Well Abandonment Engineers on a contract basis (Agency Worker / PAYE).

• Senior Well Abandonment Engineer – Platform
• Senior Well Abandonment Engineer – MODU

Our client offers competitive day rates, a generous holiday allowance (38 days), and flexible working arrangements, including a Compressed Working Week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare well abandonment Basis of Design, well programmes, examinations, notifications/consents, and time and cost estimates.
• Support the Superintendent and rig teams with technical and planning activities, including operational support, contingency planning, and problem solving to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution.
• Plan and execute well operations in line with company objectives, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure well design and operations comply with legislation and recognised good oilfield practice.

REQUIREMENTS

• Extensive experience as a Senior Well Engineer or Abandonment Engineer supporting drilling, completion, intervention, and abandonment operations.
• Strong offshore wellsite engineering experience.
• Experience working in an Operator environment, particularly within mature assets.
• Proven experience analysing offset data, generating and evaluating design options, assessing risk, and preparing P&A Basis of Design and programme documentation.
• Experience preparing examination and notification/consent applications, time and cost estimates, and coordinating procurement of services, equipment, and materials.
• Ability to prepare well P&A philosophies aligned with company standards, legislation, and OEUK guidelines.
• Sound knowledge of well abandonment operations and the HSE regulatory regime governing these activities.
