Marine / Field Service Engineer

Our client is currently looking to recruit a suitably qualified Mechanical Engineer. The role will be on a permanent (staff) basis and will involve working in various shipyards around the UK incl: Orkney, Shetland, Fraserburgh, Peterhead.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prospective employees will preferably have a background in Marine Engineering, however those with HGV or Agri experience would also be considered. We would also be interested in speaking with those who may be considering a position as a Field Service Engineer’s Assistant/labourer.
• Work location: Working onboard various fishing vessels (make up approx. 70% of work scopes) & work and survey boats. Vessels located in various shipyards around the UK such as Orkney, Shetland, Fraserburgh, Peterhead. No offshore working required.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Candidates should have a background in mechanical Engineering and ideally hold 2 years + marine experience or experience with heavy goods / agriculture background. Interest in marine engineering.
