Workshop Mechanical Engineer
Cammach are currently recruiting for a Workshop Mechanical Engineer for our client based in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire. The role will be on a permanent (staff) basis.
ROLE
We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Workshop Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing refurbishments, mechanical maintenance, repairs, new build manufacturing projects and workshop operations. This is a workshop-based role but not limited to.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Delivery of mechanical repair, maintenance, and overhaul activities within the workshop on oilfield topside equipment
- Diagnose mechanical faults and implement effective engineering solutions
- Interpret engineering drawings, manuals, and technical specifications
- Lead projects and ensure work is completed to required standards
- Plan and coordinate your own daily workshop jobs to meet operational deadlines
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and technical reports
- Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives
REQUIREMENTS
- Time served or degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Proven experience in a workshop or maintenance engineering environment
- Strong knowledge of oil field equipment, mechanical systems, hydraulics, and rotating equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot and work hands-on within a team or on your own
- Good communication and leadership mindset focus
