Cammach are currently recruiting a Mechanical Fitter for our client based in Aberdeenshire. The role will be for duration of 2-3 Months and will include accommodation (if required).

Hours of Work: 6am-6pm but can be flexible to suit, with weekend working available.

ROLE               

As a Fitter, you will be responsible for the smooth running of production, working efficiently and competently to ensure that tasks are completed as per the company Work in Progress (WIP) List. You will also be responsible for assembling main parts and components to produce end product, as per engineering drawings. The Fitter will ensure products are manufactured efficiently, within the allocated delivery schedule as per operational planner and ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant Health and Safety guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adopt and promote the Group People Values and ensuring their use is embedded throughout.
  • Develop strong working relations with key stake-holders – clients, colleagues etc.
  • Lead by example in setting the highest possible standards in the promotion of People Values, HSEQ procedures and best practice, ensuring compliance to the Group HSEQ Policy, procedures, standards and regulatory obligations.
  • Immediately report all accidents, incidents, near misses or environmental concerns
  • Adhere to and participate in company-wide sustainability policies, procedures and initiatives as they are developed to support our Net Zero objectives.
  • Carry out any mechanical machine modifications.
  • Maintain tools and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, work lists to determine what materials and equipment is needed.
  • Carry out electrical, hydraulic, piping, lining and plumbing as required, including dismantling when decommissioning equipment.
  • Ensure parts and components are appropriately greased and lubricated.
  • Raise supplier requisitions for any consumable items and any other shortfall material
  • Communicate with other departments within operations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Time Served Experience as a Mechanical Fitter
  • Experience working with Winches, Spooling and/or Subsea Equipment
  • Good understanding of engineering drawings.
  • Attention to details.
  • Ability to work on own initiative or part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritise.
  • Interest in gaining technical knowledge.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
