Support Reservoir Engineer

We are working with a leading international software company specialising in subsurface modelling and simulation, who are looking to recruit a Support Reservoir Engineer (STAFF) to join their growing team in Aberdeen.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Support Reservoir Engineer looking to move into a more client-facing, dynamic role, combining technical expertise with user interaction, training, and problem-solving.

ROLE

Key technical point of contact for clients, supporting the use of advanced reservoir simulation software.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Providing technical support to clients (remote and occasional onsite)
• Assisting with software evaluations and demonstrations
• Delivering training sessions to users
• Developing example models and workflows to support client needs
• Supporting pre-sales activities alongside commercial teams
• Participating in industry events and conferences where required

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, or similar
• Experience in reservoir simulation and modelling
• Familiarity with tools such as Eclipse, CMG, Petrel RE, or similar
• Understanding of history matching and field development planning
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset

Desirable

• Exposure to integrated workflows (surface / subsurface)
• Previous experience in a client-facing or support role
