Wellbore Intervention Field Operator II

Our client, a leading energy technology company, is currently recruiting for a Wellbore Intervention Field Operator II to join their offshore UK operations. This is a contract role involving various ad hoc assignments over the next few months.

ROLE

• The Wellbore Intervention Field Operator II is responsible for executing a range of wellbore intervention operations across multiple product lines within the Wellbore Intervention Product Group. This role involves the safe and efficient delivery of medium-risk applications, with capability to support lower-risk activities in adjacent product groups.
• The position requires solid technical knowledge of intervention tools and techniques, alongside a general understanding of drilling, completion, and workover rig operations. The Field Operator II works collaboratively with field crews, supervisors, and clients to ensure high-quality service delivery and operational excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execute wellbore intervention operations for medium-risk applications across one or more product lines.
• Assist in the preparation, testing, and maintenance of intervention equipment prior to and after job execution.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, policies, and procedures at all times.
• Participate in job risk assessments (JRA) and contribute to hazard identification and mitigation.
• Support lower-risk operations in other product groups when required.
• Monitor job progress and ensure accurate data collection and reporting during field activities.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with supervisors, peers, and clients on-site.
• Assist in troubleshooting operational issues and escalating complex problems as needed.
• Ensure proper documentation of job activities, including post-job reports and equipment logs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational best practices.

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

• Two-year Technical Degree (preferred) or equivalent industry training/experience.

Experience:

• Relevant oilfield service experience within wellbore intervention or related product lines.
• Demonstrated experience running intervention tools and applications.

Technical Skills:

• Competent in multiple wellbore intervention applications.
• General knowledge of:
• Drilling and completion techniques
• Workover and intervention rig operations
• Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills for field equipment.
