Production Technician

Our client, a well-established independent Oil & Gas Operator in the UK, is looking to recruit an experienced Production Technician to join their offshore operations team. This is an excellent opportunity offering an initial 12-month Agency Worker (PAYE) contract, working a 2 weeks on / 3 weeks off rotation with crew change from Blackpool.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate high-pressure gas production and processing plant, along with utilities equipment, in accordance with company procedures using both control room systems and field-based operations.
• Monitor plant performance through control systems and routine field inspections, recording operational data and preparing performance reports.
• Act as the Area Technician, overseeing activities within a designated area in accordance with permit-to-work requirements, company procedures, and safe working practices.
• Serve as the Mechanical Isolating Authority, applying and testing mechanical isolations in line with company isolation procedures.
• Support the Production Team Lead with the planning and preparation of isolation certificates.
• Assist in the preparation and coordination of Permits to Work for planned and corrective maintenance activities.
• Ensure safe working conditions are maintained during maintenance activities and support the safe and efficient return of plant to service.

REQUIREMENTS

• Several years of offshore production experience within the UK E&P (Exploration & Production) industry.
• Demonstrable experience in petrochemical process operations and/or maintenance.
• Sound understanding of engineering principles and production processes.
• Strong knowledge of process safety, health, safety and environmental (HSE) procedures, with the ability to maintain the integrity of high-hazard operations.
• Current offshore emergency response training, including areas such as firefighting, self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), coxswain, first aid, HLO, or other Emergency Response Team (ERT) competencies.
