Materials Coordinator - Logistics

Our client, based in Altens Aberdeen, is looking for a Materials / Logistics Coordinator for a contract position through to the end of the year, with the potential for the assignment to be extended.
 
ROLE

The Materials Coordinator is responsible to ensure that all Deliveries, Shipments and Returned Equipment movements made on behalf of TechnipFMC Vessels and Projects are processed and completed in an efficient process in accordance with Company approved procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To carry out the day to day operations of the Shared Services Logistics function, ensuring equipment required for the Vessels and Projects are processed according to current Company procedures. By ensuring all orders are efficiently Receipted, Stored and Delivered correctly for onward shipment to meet requested schedules as required by stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS

Essential;

• Previous experience in Warehouse and Logistics operation
• Certificates Relevant Operator Certificates for Forklift
• Good organisational skills with a capacity to work on own initiative as well as part of a busy team
• Knowledge of shipping dangerous goods by sea and air

Preferred but not essential;

• Fill, clean driving licence
• 3 years' experience in Warehouse and Logistics operation
• Good knowledge of the Manual Handling Regulations
• Knowledge of HM Customs procedures and routines
• Knowledge of Air, Sea and Road freight shipment regulations
• Knowledge of handling & Storage of Hazardous Materials, Certification and documentation required to transport them
