Offshore Drilling Materials Coordinator
Cammach are recruiting for an Offshore Drilling Materials Coordinator to join a leading Oil & Gas Operator in Aberdeen, supporting offshore Plug & Abandonment (P&A) operations.
- Rotation: 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off
- Contract Duration: 6 -8 months
- Contract Type: Agency Worker / PAYE
- Lucrative day rates on offer
ROLE
The role will be responsible for coordinating the planning, tracking and mobilisation of equipment, materials and personnel to support offshore P&A activities. Candidates must have recent UK North Sea (UKCS) experience working directly with an Oil & Gas Operator in an offshore drilling materials / logistics role, along with strong knowledge of drilling materials movements and logistical processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Liaise with the Drilling Supervisor and Onshore Logistics Coordinators to ensure equipment and materials are delivered offshore in a timely manner.
- Prepare and issue daily look-ahead/forecasting reports in conjunction with the Drilling Supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records of company and rental equipment, including the Rental Register.
- Coordinate supply vessel and anchor-handling vessel movements with marine and supply-base personnel.
- Prepare and issue load lists to ensure the timely mobilisation of equipment.
- Coordinate personnel movements in line with offshore operational requirements.
- Liaise with aviation contractors regarding scheduled crew changes and flight schedules.
- Check equipment and goods shipped to and from the rig and report any non-conformances to the Onshore DMC.
- Maintain accurate records of rental equipment, consumables and materials, resolving discrepancies with onshore materials teams and suppliers.
- Prepare and control manifests and coordinate the timely return of rental equipment.
- Ensure dangerous goods, waste and offshore cargo-handling regulations are adhered to.
- Work closely with the Onshore DMC, supply-base personnel, Offshore Drilling Contractor and service companies to ensure efficient operations.
- Provide holiday cover for the Onshore Logistics Coordinator when required.
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Offshore Survival Training Certificate.
- Valid UK Offshore Medical.
- Valid MIST certification.
- IATA and IMDG Dangerous Goods certification.
- Extensive offshore experience within the UKCS, specifically in a materials role supporting drilling operations.
- Good practical knowledge of drilling, completion and/or well intervention equipment.
- Proven experience coordinating drilling materials movements and associated logistics.
- Working knowledge of UK offshore cargo packing and handling guidelines.
- Good understanding of UK Customs & Excise requirements relevant to offshore operations.
- Strong understanding of health, safety and operational procedures relating to drilling logistics.
- Knowledge of LOLER and PUWER would be advantageous.
