Technical Safety Lead

Cammach is currently recruiting for an experienced Technical Safety Lead to join a leading Oil & Gas Operator on a 2-year contract, based at their terminal in Barrow-in-Furness. This is an excellent opportunity to join the HSE & Assurance team, taking a lead role in Technical Safety, Process Safety and Major Accident Hazard management. Agency Worker / PAYE

ROLE

The role will provide Technical Safety leadership and assurance across the business, supporting safe and reliable operations as well as activities associated with late-life and end-of-asset-life planning.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the delivery and quality of Technical Safety activities, both internally and through external providers.
• Provide proactive Technical Safety and Process Safety guidance and support across the business.
• Support and assure asset integrity and Major Accident Hazard management.
• Provide expertise and support the implementation of the CMAPP, Safety Engineering Philosophy and associated standards.
• Support Technical Safety requirements associated with late-life and end-of-asset-life activities.
• Work closely with Engineering, Operations, HSE and Assurance teams to maintain high standards of safety and regulatory compliance.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in a Technical Safety Lead or similar senior Technical Safety role.
• Strong understanding of Major Accident Hazard legislation, including Safety Cases and COMAH reports.
• Good knowledge of relevant industry codes, standards and applicable regulations.
• Degree qualified in an Engineering, Technology or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status would be advantageous.
• Investigation training such as Kelvin TOP-SET would be beneficial.
