Plug & Abandonment Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Plug & Abandonment (P&A) Engineer to join our client’s team on an initial 6-month contract.

• Location: Flexible / Remote
• Client Office: 1–2 weeks per month in Wales

ROLE

• The P&A Engineer will be responsible for planning and executing well operations safely, efficiently and cost-effectively, in accordance with company objectives, policies and procedures.
• The role will ensure that well design and operations comply with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and recognised good oilfield practice.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and support the execution of well abandonment operations.
• Provide a high level of technical expertise across drilling, completions, well intervention, well services and well abandonment.
• Develop safe, practical and cost-effective solutions for complex well engineering challenges.
• Ensure well designs and operations comply with applicable legislation, HSE requirements, company standards and good oilfield practice.
• Provide technical input and guidance throughout the planning and operational phases of well

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in a relevant technical or engineering discipline.
• Extensive experience as a Senior Well Engineer, supporting drilling, intervention and abandonment operations.
• Strong technical knowledge and practical experience of Plug & Abandonment / well abandonment operations.
• Broad understanding of drilling and completions engineering and well services.
• Sound knowledge of the HSE and regulatory regime governing well abandonment operations.
• Strong focus on safe, efficient and cost-effective well delivery.
