Operations Manager

Our client, a well-established engineering and manufacturing business, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and oversee the day-to-day running of their facility. This will be a permanent (staff) opportunity, based in Brechin.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with a strong operational background within a workshop or manufacturing environment and proven experience in Swarf Handling and RPS operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring departments work effectively towards company objectives.
• Lead and develop operational teams, providing direction, support and performance management.
• Allocate resources efficiently across both customer projects and internal operations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to maximise productivity and operational performance.
• Implement and maintain operational policies, procedures and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, quality standards and internal processes.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar Operations Management role.
• Essential experience within Swarf Handling and RPS operations.
• Strong background within a workshop, engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Previous hands-on knowledge of relevant product lines and operational processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication and people management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on operational improvement.
