PMO & Planning Lead

Cammach are currently recruiting for an experienced PMO & Planning Lead to join our clients Aberdeen team on a 12 month contract. The role also offers the flexibility of a hybrid working arrangement.

ROLE

Purpose Statement Establishes, leads and maintains the project management office (PMO) for the Net Zero portfolio, provides governance, control, assurance and decision support across the full project lifecycle to aid the successful commercialisation of client’s portfolio of energy transition opportunities, including the Net Zero carbon storage project.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for maintaining project schedules, risk registers, opportunity registers, and change control processes across the development portfolio.
• Support project manager(s) to maintain project schedule and cost compliance.
• Works with the organisation to ensure risks are appropriately documented and managed in compliance with procedures and Shareholder expectations.
• Working alongside the Finance, Cost & Reporting Analyst to maintain project spend forecasts.
• Support project governance activities and compliance including gates.
• Drive continuous improvement and actively seeks out value adding opportunities, and identifies possible issues, for consideration of the project manager(s) and other team members.
• Act as a neutral integrator, resolving conflicts between disciplines where required.
• Develop long term PMO plans and solutions.
• Ensure the project demonstrates control, predictability and professionalism throughout its lifecycle to build credibility and confidence with stakeholders
• Any other associated duties as reasonably required

REQUIREMENTS

Technical Skills 

• Subject matter expert in Primavera P6 planning software
• Extensive experience in PMO leadership on large (£500m+) infrastructure, energy, or industrial capital projects
• Deep understanding of project controls, governance, and assurance
• Familiar with carbon storage infrastructure and the capital project development cycle

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, project management, finance or related discipline
• Professional accreditation (APM, PMP, or equivalent) preferred
