Transition of 14 PAYE Agency Workers and Limited Company Contractors in an 8-Day Period

Background

Following the success of a previous transition, our client, an oil & gas Supermajor Operator, selected Cammach to support the transition of 14 PAYE Agency Workers and Limited Company Contractors.

These workers were previously supplied via another agent who was closing their business and could no longer support the management and payroll of these contractors.

The transition was required to take place within an 8-day period and involved complex discussions around previous payment methods of the contractors, which were not in line with the Operator's requirements.

Cammach was chosen due to our earlier proven ability to ensure a smooth transition and onboarding process within tight deadlines.

Transition Process

1. Initial Planning: Cammach held immediate meetings with the oil & gas Operator via Teams due to the Client’s Covid procedures, and contacted all transitioning workers within 48 hours to outline the transition strategy and timeline.
   
   
2. Documentation: The Cammach team issued appropriate contractual documentation and detailed information to all transitioning workers. Additional discussions were required to align payment terms and conditions with the Operator's requirements.
   
   
3. Execution: Our team ensured all Agency Workers and Contractors were transitioned within the agreed timeframe.
   
   
4. Communication: Our dedicated Contractor Management team maintained continuous communication to address any concerns and provide support. As part of this transition there complex conversations that took place through the onboarding process and required some clarity on legislative requirements and client expectations. Our Contractor Management team managed these conversations throughout the negotiating process with each complex discussion taking the majority of these conversation away from the client.
